Another Painted Room

Well, we've done it again. We spent a few hours on a Sunday evening on an otherwise-unproductive weekend re-painting a bedroom in the house. This time, we decided to paint the third bedroom, presently a guest room, to a more lavender color than the cream it was. When we originally painted it a year ago upon moving in, we used a flat paint and then ran out, bought a semi-gloss paint from another store, and ended up with a paint nightmare. Never do that, guys. It's ridiculous.
So we bought a gender-neutral color at the box home store in semi-gloss and went to town (the color is Tiptoes by Olympic). I mention the gender-neutral bit because we hope that in the coming few years, this could possibly be a baby room. Not any time soon, but maybe some time in the not-too-distant-future, we'll need a room in a fun color.

We've gotten incredible at painting. We got the whole room done in less than an hour, without any real issues. The cats kept visiting and trying to figure out what we were doing. It's a wonder no one got their paws in the tray and tracked purple paint through the house.

Now, if we can get the office and the master bedroom painted before spring, I'll be a happy camper. I'm kind of astonished we've gotten the kitchen, living room, hallway, and third bedroom painted in such a short time!

For the hell of it, enjoy a picture of Ringo, who has recently learned how to tuck himself into our bedding. The first time we saw him do this, we had to take pictures. He's such a doof.

It should come as no surprise to you that I want to be a mama, Tasha! It's also probably the scariest prospect on our horizon.

But not just now. Soon. But not now. I want to get all the "me" missions out of the way before we decide to have any kiddos.
